Your privacy and data security are fundamental engineering requirements. This document outlines how personal data is collected, processed, and protected across ronilprasad8.tech and the GOAT Assistant platform.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or sign in with Google OAuth, we collect:

  • Account Details: First Name, Last Name, Nickname, Organization/School, and Email Address.
  • Authentication Metadata: Firebase Auth UID and cryptographic token verification timestamps.
  • Assistant Interaction Memory: Facts you provide to the GOAT Assistant to personalize future conversations.

2. How Your Data Is Used

All data collected is strictly utilized for the following functional purposes:

  • Authenticating your access to the AI conversational interface.
  • Maintaining your persistent session memory across device visits.
  • Enforcing server-side rate limits (15 req/min) to prevent abuse and quota exhaustion.

3. Security, Storage & Service Providers

User records and memory arrays are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in secure, sandboxed collections. Passwords are cryptographically managed by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to or stored on our backend.

No sale of personal data: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with advertisers or marketing networks for promotional or cross-context tracking purposes.

Service provider processing: We distinguish commercial advertising sharing from functional processing by authorized service providers. Personal data is transmitted to external providers strictly as necessary to deliver core platform services:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Authentication: Google Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication securely host application data and manage user authentication tokens.
  • External AI Providers: Prompts and conversation history submitted to the GOAT Assistant are processed by external AI providers (Google Gemini API and Groq Cloud) via encrypted API connections solely to generate real-time responses. These service providers process data strictly to fulfill user interactions and not for advertising or marketing.

4. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You retain full ownership of your data. If you wish to delete your account, wipe your Firestore user profile, or remove your stored knowledge facts, simply submit a request via our Secure Contact Form, and all corresponding records will be permanently purged within 48 hours.

5. Terms of Service

By using this platform and the GOAT Assistant, you agree not to submit malicious code, attempt unauthorized API access, or bypass rate limits. The service is provided as a student portfolio demonstration and learning framework on an "as-is" basis.
